Terms & Conditions In-Store

From time to time additions/changes may be made to the following T&C’s and we would advise you to please check them periodically. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions you should not review any information or obtain goods, services or products from this site.

Definition of ‘MURPHY FURNITURE’:

MURPHY FURNITURE Outlets are made up of the following: End of Catalogue stock, clearance stock, surplus end of range stock, customer returns, cancelled orders, soiled or slightly damaged stock and supplier stock. All goods are for domestic and commercial use. At MURPHY FURNITURE all our assembled stock is sold as seen.

Indemnification:

You, the customer, agree to indemnify, defend and hold MURPHY FURNITURE and our partners, solicitors, staff and affiliates (collectively, “Affiliated Parties”) harmless from any damage, injury, liability, loss, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, related to your violation of this Agreement in our Outlets or use of the Site.

Use of Information/ Data Protection:

MURPHY FURNITURE will not share any personal information and data with any third parties. If you do not wish to be contacted for marketing purposes please notify your MURPHY FURNITURE sales representative when completing the sales docket. 

Pre-Assembled Goods:

Pre-assembled goods are sold for the purposes of display only. MURPHY FURNITURE recommends to customers that the assembly of the goods is fully inspected by a professional and appropriate adjustments are made in accordance with usage. MURPHY FURNITURE also recommends that all furniture with moving parts is securely fixed to a wall.

Cancellations:

You can amend or cancel your order up to time of dispatch. However, if the order has been dispatched you must then return the product to us (unopened and undamaged) within 6 working days and we will arrange a refund. If you cancel your order we will refund all monies within 1-5 working days. MURPHY FURNITURE is not liable for any costs arising from the refund.

Returns Policy:

Please examine all items carefully as all products are sold as seen. All products must be returned complete, unused, packaged and in the condition that they left MURPHY FURNITURE.  If you cancel your order we will refund all monies less a 20% restocking fee within 1-5 working days. MURPHY FURNITURE is not liable for any costs arising from the refund. Mattresses which have been removed from their packaging cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty. 

Items not in stock:

In the event that you have ordered and paid for an item that is out of stock, our Customer Care staff will contact you within 24 hours to discuss how to proceed. At this point we can either recommend a similar product, or we will refund all monies within 1-5 working days. MURPHY FURNITURE is not liable for any costs arising from the refund.

Collection of Goods

MF do not provide an assembly service and we will have no liability to you for any failure of delay in collection or third party delivery of goods or any damage or defect in goods delivered or assembled which is caused by a third party or by any event or circumstance  which is beyond our reasonable control. MF is not to be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of transport or assembly of goods. This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer. Notify the store in advance if you or a third party are collecting goods by referencing the sales docket number and detailing what items are for collection and whether they need to be dismantled for transportation. Please note that goods cannot be collected on Sundays or Bank Holidays 

Damaged/Defective Goods:

Insofar as is permitted by law MURPHY FURNITURE’S only liability to you under these terms and conditions will be, at our sole discretion, to replace or repair any goods which are of a defective state and/or are not fit for the purpose in which they are intended, or to refund to you any sums actually paid by you for the goods in question. All goods are sold as seen. We recommend that you thoroughly inspect all products in person prior to sale. We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of transport of goods. We do not provide a delivery service and we will have no liability to you for any failure or delay in collection or third party delivery of goods or any damage or defect in goods delivered which is caused by a third party or by any event or circumstance which is beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

MURPHY FURNITURE reserves the right to contact a customer via email or phone to verify the accuracy of account information (including address/contact details).

Assembly:

At MURPHY FURNITURE, we do not at present offer a home assembly service and do not facilitate any third party assembly services. MF is not to be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of transport or assembly of goods. This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer. 

Delivery:

Please refer to our In-Store Delivery information for Zone 1 or Zone 2 delivery rates.

Storage:

Goods will be held for a total of 7 days after purchase and or deposit, after the time period stated there is a storage charge of €10 per day. There is also a 20% restocking fee on all cancellations.

Mattress Recycling:

Once a new mattress is purchased, Murphy Furniture will recycle your same size mattress for a fee. This is only available in-store and not offered on online purchases. 

There are 2 ways of arranging recycling for your old mattress: 1) Dropped off at the store where you purchased the new mattress from or 2) Delivery organised with the delivery company for those in Zone 1 areas only.

Receipts may be checked upon using the mattress recycling.
